Christina Selby - Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director

Co-founder of Earth Care, Christina took over as Executive Director of Earth Care in April 2009. She holds a B.S. in Ecology, Evolution and Animal Behavior from the University of Minnesota and a Master's in Environment and Community through Antioch University Seattle where she did her thesis on the importance of culture and cultural democracy as a fourth pillar in sustainability education. She also holds graduate certificates in Integrated Skills for Sustainable Change and Ecological Planning and Design. Previous to Earth Care, Christina served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a remote subsistence village in Panama where she worked in Permaculture and sustainable community development from 1999-2001. She also worked in environmental education for 7 years in Minnesota, Oregon and Wyoming and in a bilingual environmental health program providing Latino immigrant families on the southside of Milwaukee, WI. Christina is currently also directing Earth Care's Sustainable Schools program, providing workshops and consulting services to teachers and schools to integrate sustainability and service-learning across the curriculum. She if a life long learner of sustainable living methods and theory, and continues to find inspiration for her work from the biological and cultural diversity throughout the world. In all her free moments, Christina works with her family and neighbors to restore their eighteen acres of land and develop a backyard farm and permaculture site. They currently have 1/2 acre of vegetables in production, 1/4 acre orchard, and 17 chickens!

Bianca Sopoci-Belknap - Associate Director & Director of Youth Programs

Bianca joined Earth Care in 2006 to launch the Youth Allies for Sustainability program. She holds a B.A. from Antioch College in Social and Global Studies with a focus in Sustainable Economic Development. Born and raised in New Mexico, Bianca has been organizing around issues of social justice and sustainability in her community since she was a teen at Santa Fe High School. Before joining Earth Care, Bianca worked as an educator and community advocate for a number of organizations across the country including Global Exchange, the Border Network for Human Rights, and Del Pueblo Inc., and the Santa Fe-based organization Local Energy doing research and political education for local renewable energy projects.

Angela Harris - Outreach & Development Coordinator, Sustainable Santa Fe Guide Publisher

Angela, born and raised in Santa Fe, was first introduced to Earth Care as a student at St. Mike’s High School when she participated in Earth Care’s first program – a summer youth garden on the EcoVersity campus. She later returned work for Earth Care in 2008 first as a administrative assistant and now as a key member of our Leadership Team. Angela received her B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, where she coordinated the Waste Prevention Campaign of the Student Environmental Center and also served on the Campus Sustainability Council Steering Committee. She has been involved in educating students about composting, waste reduction and recycling since 2003.

Lora Sheldon - Business Manager

Lora Sheldon recently relocated to Santa Fe from Alpine, Texas where she worked as a non-profit accounting professional for over twelve years. She brings with her extensive financial development skills from a varied background, including working with an art museum, nature center, library, and humane society. Lora is excited to add her expertise to help further the mission of Earth Care.

Eden Radfarr - AmeriCorps*VISTA/Youth Allies Coordinator

Eden joins Earth Care as the AmeriCorps*VISTA/Youth Allies Coordinator. Eden is studying film and brings a background in teaching and youth development, media and performing arts, and administration.

Lorraine Gray - AmeriCorps Food Cadre Program Manager

Lorraine Kahneratokwas Gray has a diverse background, beginning with a Masters in Project Management. She has been working in the area of traditional agricultural revival for the last 14 years. She was honored to be a member of the Native Delegation to Terra Madre 2006 and 2010, in Turin, Italy. Honored for her work in the Mohawk community of Akwesasne, New York, Gray co-founded Kanenhi:io Ionkwaienthonhakie (We Are Planting Good Seeds), which built a substantial community greenhouse, established a community farmers' market on the reservation, and supports community gardens, and individual family farms. Gray is now living in the South West, and is the Conference Coordinator for the Traditional Agriculture & Sustainable Living Conference, and co-founder of the Four Bridges Traveling Permaculture Institute. We are thrilled to have her join our team at Earth Care.
